Parking Outside Nursery
Can we ask that all Parents please park sensibly and use the parking spaces that are available. Can you all look when reversing your car as we have a lot of parents and children walking around outside. This is being monitored within the Nursery as this is a serious issue.

Please find a poster below about a new free clothes bank - GrowKids. They are based at the Charles Burrell Centre and they are now ready to start providing bags.

Opening up for more children - questionnaire for all parents
From the 1st June, the government has announced that schools may be able to open to children in Early Years including Nursery and Reception Classes, Year 1 and Year 6.
The government has published guidance for parents and carers you should read before completing this survey:
The government is strongly encouraging children and young people in the eligible year groups and priority groups (such as children of critical workers) to attend as requested by their school unless they are self-isolating or there are other reasons for absence (such as shielding due to health conditions).
Please complete this questionnaire, so we can determine how many pupils are likely to attend our school from 1st June to enable us to plan how we can safely accommodate them. We would appreciate it if you could try to complete this form as soon as possible.
Please read this DfE guidance before completing this form.
We will contact you to confirm an offer of a place at school as soon as possible.
VE Day - Friday 8th May
Just a reminder to all that Friday 8th May is a bank holiday, there will be no work set that day and Daycare for children of Critical Workers will be Closed.
We would love to see some images of the fun things you do to celebrate this day.

Sports Relief
All the children had a good day of dressing up in their sports wear and doing sports activities within their room. We raised a total of £32.14. Thank you for all your contributions.
As a school we are kept up to date on the situation via a daily email from the Department for Education and are taking our guidance from that.
Coronavirus and it's impact on school life is discussed within Senior Leadership meetings and the information delivered to all staff and families. Teaching staff are reinforcing good hygiene practices with the children, our full-time janitor is sanitising door handles & other areas on a regular basis and office staff are closely monitoring pupil holiday destinations.
The information below is from our latest DfE email -
The government coronavirus action plan sets out what the UK has done to tackle coronavirus (COVID-19), and what we plan to do next.
The situation is constantly reviewed and action informed by expert science and advice, guided by the Chief Medical Officer and the Chief Scientific Adviser.
The action plan can be found here:
The action plan sets out a four-phased approach in response to coronavirus – Contain, Delay, Mitigate, and Research, based on the latest scientific evidence.
The current emphasis is on the Contain and Research phases, however planning for Delay and Mitigation is already in train.
Wash your hands more often for 20 seconds with soap and hot water.
Watch this short NHS film for guidance:
Teach young children how to wash their hands with the NHS handwashing song:
Public Health England recommends that in addition to handwashing before eating, and after coughing and sneezing, everyone should also wash hands after using toilets and travelling on public transport.
