Career Pathway and Drake Teaching Standards

Our staff receive continuing professional development (CPD) from a number of sources throughout the school year.

Every September before the children return, every single member of staff has safeguarding training updating us on the latest developments on keeping children safe in education.

Teachers and teaching assistants receive training from Shirley Clarke, an educational consultant, whose passion is the power of formative assessment. You can read more about her here https://www.shirleyclarke-education.org/ 

 Our mathematics adviser is Alison Borthwick. She recently came into school and held maths workshops for parents to attend followed by staff training.

Teaching staff have a briefing meeting weekly before school starts and a CPD session weekly after school ends.
