Loving Kindness - An Eastern Blessing by Howard Goodall
“I offer you peace, I offer you love, I offer you friendship
I see your beauty, I hear your needs, I feel your feelings
May you be filled with loving kindness”
Loving Kindness, composed by Howard Goodall and sung by Aled Jones made this song demo in their homes to share during the lockdown as they felt its Hindu/Buddhist blessing texts fitted so well that challenging moment in time. Goodall dedicated his music to the sacrifice and courage of health workers during the 2020 COVID-19 pandemic.
Here is a version recorded by a school choir during lockdown:
Zak Abel - Be Kind
“If there’s one thing in this life that is guaranteed It’s you and I might see a few things differently.
In a world where you can be anything I’ll be kind to you, Could you be kind to me? Kind to me.”
Kindness Boomerang - "One Day"
“One day this all will change, treat people the same, Stop with the violence, down with the hate.
One day we'll all be free, and proud to be, Under the same sun, singin' songs of freedom like”

We wait for thy loving kindness, O God - Sir William McKie
In the setting of an empty Cathedral filled with over 6000 candles for Candlemas, Ely Cathedral Choir sings ‘We wait for thy loving kindness, O God’ by Sir William McKie.
The Ely Cathedral Choir has been part of the English choral tradition since the mid-sixteenth century, and in terms of its monastic heritage, can be traced back considerably further, to the time of King Canute. Ely's traditional male choir is made up of 22 boy choristers and 6 Lay Clerks (gentleman singers).
Harry Styles - Treat People With Kindness
“Maybe we can find a place to feel good. And we can treat people with kindness. Find a place to feel good.”
This song communicates the sense of happiness and lightness that comes when we show genuine kindness to others.
Sesame Street: Try a Little Kindness (with Tori Kelly)
“You've got to try a little kindness, yes, show a little kindness. Just shine your light for everyone to see.”
Bruno Mars - Count on Me
“We'll find out what we're made of when we are called to help our friends in need.”
Just listening to the song lifts your mood. It is also a good reminder about what kindness is really about.
