Sensory Circuits
Each morning in Grandin Class we complete Sensory Circuits to support us to regulate our bodies and emotions so that we are ready to learn!
Sensory circuits must include alerting, organising and calming activities. Some examples of these include:
Alerting - jumping, bouncing, running, jumping jacks, hopping, frog jumps
Organising - colour sorting, push ups, blowing bubbles, balancing, throwing
Calming - relaxation time, sensory toys, squeezing dough
We create our personalised Sensory Circuit schedules and use timers to complete our circuit, promoting independence.
