The Zones of Regulation
As part of our Zones of Regulation approach we have created a routine of regular zones 'check-in' times throughout the day.
When arriving at school we take our decorated names and put them in the zone that corresponds with how we are feeling.
We have been identifying the emotions both in ourselves and in others through videos and stories.
Importantly, we have been thinking about what strategies we can use to support us to regulate our emotions, creating personalised blue, yellow and red zone boards. These strategies will help us both in our SRB Grandin Classroom and can be taken into our Year Group classes too. Our strategies will be updated regularly, as we identify things that support us to regulate our emotions.
