Year of the Tree

2025 - 26 is the Year of the Tree at Drake. Throughout the year, the school community will study, observe and celebrate trees on our school site and neighbouring woodland, through a range of science,
art and other activities. Each year group has been allocated a tree on the school site to study and observe over the year. Classes are undertaking a longitudinal study over the seasons, visiting their tree and collecting data. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Science Visitor

The Great Science Time Tour 

On Wednesday 21st January, we were delighted to welcome a scientist from the Norwich Science Festival, who presented The Great Science Time Tour. The children were taken on an exciting time-travelling journey, where they met some inspirational scientists – Charles Darwin, Marie Curie and Mae Jemison. We learnt about their scientific discoveries, but also their resilience and positive mindset to work with their team.
