Loving Kindness - An Eastern Blessing by Howard Goodall

“I offer you peace, I offer you love, I offer you friendship
I see your beauty, I hear your needs, I feel your feelings

May you be filled with loving kindness”
Loving Kindness, composed by Howard Goodall and sung by Aled Jones made this song demo in their homes to share during the lockdown as they felt its Hindu/Buddhist blessing texts fitted so well that challenging moment in time. Goodall dedicated his music to the sacrifice and courage of health workers during the 2020 COVID-19 pandemic.

We wait for thy loving kindness, O God - Sir William McKie

In the setting of an empty Cathedral filled with over 6000 candles for Candlemas, Ely Cathedral Choir sings ‘We wait for thy loving kindness, O God’ by Sir William McKie.
The Ely Cathedral Choir has been part of the English choral tradition since the mid-sixteenth century, and in terms of its monastic heritage, can be traced back considerably further, to the time of King Canute. Ely's traditional male choir is made up of 22 boy choristers and 6 Lay Clerks (gentleman singers).
