Year 3 look after the plants in the red playground. We have a rainwater planter in the red playground.

Mia Witham, a local landscape designer, ran a workshop with Year 3, all about the water cycle. We talked about how our climate is getting hotter in the summer and how our rainwater planter stores water. Rainwater planters provide habitats for insects and wildlife. The planter is connected to the downpipe and plants are watered with run-off from the roof.
