  • Science: Friction enquiry

In Science, we investigated how different surfaces affect how far a toy car can travel. We rolled a car down ramps covered with wood, plastic, bubble wrap, foam, and carpet, and measured the distance it travelled each time. We kept all the other variables the same to ensure a fair test. We discovered that the car travelled the furthest on the smooth wood surface because there was less friction. The car travelled the shortest distance on the carpet because there was more friction.
