The children have really enjoyed learning about Ramadan and the festival of Eid. They have shown incredible curiosity, respect, and enthusiasm while exploring this important time for many people around the world. The children explored the use of a prayer mat, traditional clothing, special foods, and meaningful symbols such as the crescent moon and star. We made beautiful stained sun catcher mosaics inspired by mosques and Islamic patterns. Student voice: “Eid is a beautiful festival” and “I like learning about lots of different religions because there are so many cool ones.”
