Wraparound Care Assistant

Drake Primary School has a unique opportunity for an enthusiastic and reliable individual to join our Wrap-Around Care Team, working in our after-school club to provide a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment for our pupils.

We are looking for someone who will:

• Provide pupils with a calm, safe and nurturing environment at the end of the school day
• Ensure children play safely, demonstrate our school values, and build resilient friendships
• Participate in the day-to-day administration and record keeping
• Support and lead fun, age-appropriate activities such as games, crafts, and sports
• Build positive relationships with pupils, colleagues, and parents to strengthen our school community
• Implement our relational approach, supporting inclusion and celebrating the uniqueness of every child
• Demonstrate excellent communication skills and uphold clear boundaries with high expectations
• Provide full care for the children, including the collection of children from school and the safe delivery to parents and/or named carers
• Administering first aid as appropriate
• Encouraging parental involvement, close liaison with parents, schools and other childcare settings
• NVQ playwork or appropriate childcare qualification to at least Level 2

Hours: Term time only, 5 days per week, Monday–Friday, 3–5.30pm. The rate of pay is £13.05 per hour.
