Introducing the Virtual Big Sing

Good morning!
Today, I have very exciting news!
Our choir was getting ready to join a Big Sing at the Norfolk Show this summer, but unfortunately that had to be cancelled. However, the organisers have just announced that they are holding a Virtual Big Sing instead - an interactive, digital concert that you can watch and join in with from home. The best bit is that everyone can join in from all over the country including all our friends families.  There will even be celebrity singers joining in! We’ll all be at home, but we can all be making music together. I can’t wait!
The live concert will be on Friday 19th June. Your parents will need to register so that you get a link on the day, but it is absolutely free.
For information, check out our events page:

In the concert, there will be 5 songs we can all join in with. Some of the songs we can sing, others we’ll learn dances to dance along with. This week we are going to focus on 2 of the songs; Dancing in the Street and Ho Hey. I have been learning to play Ho Hey on the ukulele this week. Have a watch of how I got on:

If you or someone in your family would like to learn Ho Hey on the ukulele, you can find a youtube lesson here:
Or a play along here:

All the songs and dance routines are in Charanga and I’m going to show you how you can log in from home to practice. Your parents have been sent the details of your username and password, but if you are not sure, ask your teacher and they will be able to help.
