Think back to our lessons this week in History all about the Tudor Reformation and the Dissolution of the Monasteries. Write a short narrative from the point of view of a Monk who has had their monastery taken over by Henry VIII and his army. As a starting point, do some research about a priory or monastery to get some ideas such as Thetford Priory.

 

Maths

 

Create a poster which will go on display within the school which explains what a fraction is. Make sure you include vocabulary such as numerator and denominator on your poster. Before starting, think about who your audience is so that your poster is age appropriate!

For our topic this half term we are learning about the Tudors. For your homework this week, do some research about the Tudors. Find out when the Tudor period starts and ends and create a timeline of all the important dates. Also have a go at creating a family tree for Henry VIII. Don't forget all his wives!

Have a go at creating angles using your body. Have a go at making angles on a straight line using family members (or pets). Also, have a look around your house to find examples of different angles such as door frames.

Finish your home learning for this topic by writing a summary of the topic, explaining what you have learned about alchemy, precious metals and changes of state. Look back at some of your previous home learning to help you! Include at least three things you have learned.

Look at the periodic table. Can you learn the atomic numbers and symbols for different metals, such as lead, copper, silver, zinc, iron and platinum? Can you create a mnemonic or a poem which will help you to remember them? An example of a mnemonic is BECAUSE: Big elephants can always understand small elephants.
